Congratulations to the Whole Team!

On Thursday 1st September we completed the challenge and crossed the Irish Sea, swimming 56 miles in 35 hours 18 minutes. Keep up-to-date with The Swim updates here or show your support and sponsor the team.

The big celebrity swim

You can now watch the incredible story of The Samsung Galaxy S II Swim in a one-off documentary on Channel 5. The Big Celebrity Swim airs on Thursday 22 September at 9pm, so make sure you tune in to see how our swimmers coped with the gruelling 35 hour challenge.

1 swim, 1 team, £1million...and 56 miles of gruelling sea

This September, Sir Richard Branson and Ronan Keating are captaining a relay team to swim the Irish Sea and raise £1million for Cancer Research UK's life-saving work.

Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer.

That's 1,200 people in the time it will take the team to swim the Irish Sea. Sponsor our celebrity adventurers today, and support the work of our doctors and scientists to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and save lives.

One lucky sponsor will win the chance to meet Sir Richard Branson or Ronan Keating!
